The Mont-Blanc Marathon Races are labeled DDJS 74

This label was obtained by an organization focused on sustaiable development:

Disqualification

The fundamental values of races labeled as 'Sustainable Development' are based on respect, sharing, solidarity, and going above and beyond oneself.

Before, during, and after the event, race participants should be exemplary in regards to respecting and protecting the environment.

Reasons for disqualification :

  • In the case of not respecting the volunteers, without whom the race would not be possible.
  • In the case of not respecting the natural site that will be traversed, which is based on a fragile ecological balance ( i.e. littering plastic cups and wrappers after passing through the refreshement posts).

COURRIR_POUR_TOI.jpg

The Mont-Blanc Marathon supports the association « Courir pour Toi ».

Since 2004 the Mont-Blanc Marathon pursues its action in supporting the association 'Courir pour Toi' (Running for You) by permitting every runner to donate 1€ or more in the fight against Muscoviscidose et Sclérose en Plaques.

We will be continuing our support for the association Courir pour Toi  during the Marathon 2010 !!!
